2018 29er National Champs 1-4 June 2018

Well the weather gods really did throw everything at us this weekend, 40+ knot gusts, and torrential rain saw the first day abandoned.

The second day was delayed due to no wind, and when the wind finally settled in, it was only blowing about 4-6 knots with a 3-4 metre swell.  A few competitors, and more than a few officials were rather green by the end of the day.

Day three settled in with winds in the high teens gusting into the mid to high 20’s with quite a bit of left over swell from the previous day. The experienced sailors took it in their stride but the less experienced sailors found it all pretty challenging.
