Lean Green Winning Machine

Has anyone else noticed a bright green P class dingy out in the Bay most afternoons?

All the hours of training paid off for Jack Honey when he won 5 straight races to win the Junior Sail Auckland, P Class Division at Kohimarama on 14 & 15 February 2015.

Congratulations Jack.

We also had three sailors competing in the Optimist, and two in the Starling.  It was tricky conditions where local knowledge paid dividends. Our sailors have certainly been putting in the hours on the water and can be proud of their consistently improving results.

Results for the Optimist were:-

James Sheldon 18th, Kaya Tobin 34th, Helena Sanderson 38th

and Starling Results were:-

Kate Sheldon 11th, Emma Sheldon 34th

YES! She floats

Congratulations to Shayne, Wendy & Kaya Tobin on the launch of their new 47′ alloy Cat on 18th February 2015.  A super light weight cruising machine designed by Tim Mumby and built by Shayne, with a little help from his friends.

Can’t wait to see her with her mast in and sails on.  We’d hate people to think that you have gone over to the dark side and built a power cat.

The question on everyone’s lips was have you decided on a name and the answer was … YES!

 Well what is it?…YES!
